Fall Makeup You Should be Wearing

When the season changes, it’s a great time to change up your makeup routine. You don’t have to make a huge investment and completely overhaul your makeup routine. You can switch out just a few colors and products to freshen up your look. Here is some fall makeup you should be wearing to stay on trend and up to date!

Lips

An easy way to spruce up your fall look is by adding a fun new lip color! Spring and summer are great for wearing light and airy pinks. Fall is great for deep autumn colors! Think of all the different colors of the changing leaves. Oranges, browns, magentas, reds…that’s what you want to be wearing!

Cheeks

Don’t forget your cheeks! Blush is a great way to add a pretty flush to your face. Instead of the light pinks of summer, reach for darker hues with more contrast. Fall is a time of coziness. Days spent out at the pumpkin patches in the crisp air. Rosy cheeks and apple pie!

Eyeshadow

Another great way to switch up your fall makeup is by changing out some eyeshadow colors. Reach for warm browns and cozy colors. Colors that are warm and dark. Colors that make you think of being curled up in a comforter reading a book and drinking hot coco!

How to Use 3D Foundation?

Now, how do you ues this stuff?? All foundations are applied on the entire face to even out your skin tone and give you great coverage. But with 3D foundation, each foundation single is your foundation but it’s just in different colors. You apply the highlight, contour, blush, and illuminator just where you need it. You don’t apply layer over layer. You apply your highlight on your forehead, nose, chin, under your eyes, and jawline. You apply your contour under your cheekbones, under your jawline, and on your hairline. You apply your blush on the apples of your cheeks. You apply your illuminator on the top of your cheekbones. And once you’re done, your entire face has great coverage but also has shape and dimension. You just created a masterpiece!

The Versatility of Maskcara Lip & Cheek Colors

One of my favorite words is versatility! I love when you can use a product, whether that be a beauty product, a hair product, or a wardrobe piece, in more than one way. When you can use one thing to get different looks. When you can mix and match and be smart about having less products but still create different ways of using it! And one of my favorite beauty products that I love are the Maskcara lip & cheeks colors. They are so versatile!

Blush

You can use the Maskcara lip & cheek colors for a pretty blush on your cheeks. You can either use your finger or the B Squared Bronzer and Blush Brush…either way works great! Simply apply the cream lip & cheek color on the apples of your cheeks. The apples of your cheeks are the squishiest part of your cheek. Look at yourself in the mirror and smile. Dab some color on that squishy part. Then take a brush to blend the pinkish hue into your contour to give you a nice feminine touch. That’s it!

Lip

You can also use the Maskcara lip & cheek singles as a lipstick color. There are so, so many colors to choose from! From barely there to wowza! Maskcara currently has …. Lip & Cheek singles available.

To apply the lip color, you can either use your clean finger or the Multi-tasker brush. Simply apply as much color as you want. The cream lip color is very pigmented so a little goes a long way!

There are gloss, semi-gloss, and matte colors. All are beautiful! If you use a matte color, you can always top the look off with a lip gloss to give it some shine. Or you can even create your own color by layering a few shades. The options are endless!!

Eyeshadow

Not only can you use the Maskcara Lip & Cheek colors for your lips and your cheeks, but you can also use it as your eyeshadow! For real. All of the colors have a beautiful pigment, so it looks really nice on your eyelid! You can simply apply it on the entire lid with your finger and be done. Or you can also use some powder eyeshadow to set the makeup or add more dimension. It’s great on its own or layered with other eyeshadow colors.

Concealer

This might sound a bit weird, but it’s true! You can also use some of the lip & cheek colors as concealer. For instance, Frenchie is a great color corrector for under the eye area. Do you have dark circles under your eyes? Then Frenchie might just be what you need to conceal them! Apply Frenchie under your eyes and then you can go over it with your normal highlight/foundation color.

Also, if you have some brown spots, Petal might be great at concealing them. Try it out!

So, think outside the box! Put products in your makeup kit that are versatile so you have less to tote around! I sure love the versatility of Maskcara Lip & Cheek singles!

How to Highlight and Contour

Have you heard of highlighting and contouring? What about the term, how to HAC? What in the world is HACing and how do you do it? How to HAC stands for highlighting and contouring. Sounds a bit scary and very Hollywood-ish right?! Don’t worry. It’s not hard at all! We’ll show you how to highlight and contour and pretty soon you’ll be a pro too!

The HAC process is just highlighting and contouring your beautiful face. It helps add dimension to your face instead of having a flat lifeless look. You simply add the color where you need to enhance those beautiful features. Maskcara’s 4 foundations singles are: highlight, contour, blush, illuminator. And they all fit into one simple compact.

First, start with your custom Maskcara compact, a foundation brush, and a sponge. These products are all you need to get a beautiful and quick look.

Highlight

Your highlight shade is your skin color. You want to apply it under your eyes, on your nose, on your chin, along your jawline, and on your forehead.

Contour

This is my favorite step! It really brings out those cheekbones and adds femininity to your face. You apply the contour shade just below your cheekbone, right along your hairline, and under your jaw. This will give your face some dimension and make your face come to life!

Blush

Don’t be afraid of blush! To look natural, you need to add a little pink hue to your cheeks to make your face look lively. Simply smile and add a small amount of color to the apples of your cheeks (the squishiest bit). Then blend upwards into your contour. It’s important to not apply too much blush because you don’t want to look like a hot mess!

Illuminator

This is the last step, but definitely not the least important! Illuminator gives your face a nice glow…but not a little girl sparkly glow, but a nice glistening glow. You can apply it to the top of the cheekbone, the bow of your lip, and right below your brows. This will just make those areas pop!

Blend

The most important step in the HAC process is blending! Take your Perfector Sponge and drench it in water until it almost doubles in size. Then you squeeze it out really well and blend your makeup in dabbing and rolling motions. This will give your face a flawless look and smooth out any harsh makeup lines you created when applying your cream foundations.
