How Long Does Seint Makeup Last?

So, you’ve heard all the great things about Seint cream makeup. You might have even seen some pretty cool tutorials on how to highlight and contour using iiid foundation. But, you’re probably wondering…how long does Seint makeup last?? You don’t want to make an investment that will be a waste of money…I get it!

Once you find a good thing, we want it! And that’s how I feel about Seint! We want it and love it. But we don’t want to waste money on something we love. We want to make sure it lasts. We want to make sure our investment is well worth it, right?!

HIGHLIGHT

Highlight colors are your basic foundation and skin color. It’s the product that you’ll use the most. Highlight lasts 2-4 months, depending on how much coverage you want and how often you use it. Highlight is placed on your forehead, nose, under eye area, chin, and cheek.

CONTOUR

Contour is the magic behind the HAC (highlighting and contouring) process! It usually lasts 3-6 months. You apply your contour color along your cheekbones, your forehead, your jawline, and on the sides of your nose.

LIP & CHEEK

Lip & Cheek color, or aka blush, can last a long time because a little goes a long way! These colors are so pigmented and beautiful. They usually last 6-12 months.

ILLUMINATOR

Illuminator makes a woman glow! Illuminator lasts about 12 months because you don’t need a lot to get that dewy look.

EYESHADOWS

• Use less product. Seint makeup has great coverage and a little goes a long way. You want to create a second skin, not add tons of product on your face to make it look like a layered mess.

How to Care for Linen

Linen is an ancient fabric that is so well made! When you take good care of it, it will last you a long time! Here are some simple tips on how to care for linen so you can wear your favorite pieces over and over!

Washing Linen– It’s best to treat your linen clothing carefully. If your washer has a delicate setting, then wash your linen pieces in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Since linen is dyed, make sure to separate light from dark pieces so the colors don’t transfer onto other clothing. Wash your linen clothing in small loads to give them plenty of space to tumble.

If you want to hand wash your linen pieces, wash them in a large sink or tub with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Let them sit for about 10 minutes. Swish the fabric around and make sure not to twist and pull on the fabric because it will stretch it out. Rinse with cool water and press the water out.

Drying Linen– Linen can shrink so it’s best to hang dry your linen pieces. This will preserve the fibers and help the fabric last longer.

Storing Linen– You can hang your linen pieces or fold them away for storing. It’s best to store them in a cool dark place.

Ironing Linen– One thing people don’t like about linen is that it wrinkles easily. But that’s the beauty of linen! Those wrinkles give movement and character to your clothes. If you want to become a linen wearer, then you need to embrace the wrinkles! Be ok with your fabric not being pressed.

If you get some really crisp wrinkles after it being folded or crumpled somewhere, there are a few ways to get those really pesky wrinkles out:

• Hang your linen piece in the bathroom and let the hot steamy shower loosen the wrinkles.
• Hang your linen piece on a hanger and lightly spritz it with water. Let it air dry.
• Take an ironing board and put an iron on the linen setting, spritz the linen piece with a spray bottle of water, and lightly press on the crisp wrinkles.

Where to Buy Linen

Linen is such a great fabric to have that it can be a bit pricey! But I have found the best place to buy linen! It’s an Etsy store called Not Perfect Linen that specializes in customized linen pieces. Their prices are affordable, the quality is superb, and the selection is great!

I’ve had lots of communication with the owner and she is a gem! They are a family owned business that completely hand makes each piece and pride themselves in hiring seamstresses to provide a living for. Their sustainable business is conscientious of quality and ethics. I just love their brand!

So many of us are having Zoom meetings galore! Whether it’s for school, work, friends, or anything else, we’re behind the camera a lot these days trying to stay connected. And we want to show up and look our best! Now, I don’t care what you have on your lower half, but your upper half needs to shine! Blush

Blush is something that a lot of women shy away from because they think it’s only for older women or clowns. Am I right?! But, blush is such a great way to add a pretty flush to your face! When you put foundation on your face, you get rid of those natural shadows and flush. Adding blush onto the apples of your cheek will bring it back. It will help you look youthful and alive.

There definitely is a right way and a wrong way to apply it though! First, choose a color that isn’t too crazy and that looks nice with your skin coloring. Next, apply a small amount on the apples of your cheeks (the squishiest part when you smile) and then blend it into your contour. You don’t want to add it too close to your nose or add too much. This will make you look like a hot mess and that is definitely not the look you want to go for! Less is more! Watch this video HERE to see the right way to apply blush.

Lips

When you’re on camera, don’t forget about your lips! Add some lipstick to your pucker to finish your look off! The best option is to use the Seint Lip & Cheek colors because you can use the same color that you used as your blush on your lips! This creates a cohesive look. I love the versatility!

Drugstore Makeup

In preparation for this experiment, I got on Amazon and bought the same types of products I currently have in my custom Seint compact: foundation, concealer, contour, blush, illuminator, bronzer, powder, eyeliner, brow pencil, eyeshadow, lipstick, and brushes. I got all the things! And let me tell you, it filled up a huge makeup bag! It was a lot of products!

As I applied the drugstore makeup to one side of my face, I noticed how many layers I was putting on! I first applied foundation, then concealer, then contour, then blush, then bronzer, then illuminator, then powder…all on top of each other. That’s 7 layers on my face! It felt cakey and it looked fake.

I noticed that the foundation, concealer, and eyeshadows weren’t very pigmented. The blush was reeeally hard to blend! The bronzer made me look orange. The illuminator was way too sparkly. Honestly, I felt like I looked like a clown!

The brushes were a bust. They soaked up too much product and didn’t blend my makeup well. I didn’t like that I had to have so many different brushes for all the different tasks.

I wasted a lot of time rummaging through my makeup bag looking for the product or brush I needed. It was like a treasure hunt!

Seint Makeup

On the other side of my face, I applied Seint makeup. I applied foundation, concealer, contour, blush, bronzer, illuminator, and powder but only in the places I needed it. Instead of 7 layers on my face, I had one. It looked more natural and felt lighter.The eyeshadows were very pigmented and showed up well on my eyelids.

Because each Seint brush is double ended, I used less brushes. They were higher quality and blended my makeup well.

My makeup colors were perfectly matched to my skin tone and blended nicely into my face. It provided good coverage but it didn’t make me look fake!
