My Beauty Faves
As I get ready for the day in the morning or get ready for bed at night, I have my favorite beauty products that I love to use to make my routine more enjoyable. Everyone has their favorites and I love learning what others use & love. So, I thought I would share with you some of my beauty faves!
Hair Faves
I have naturally curly hair….and it’s not a pretty curly. The top layer is straight but the bottom layer is a frizzy curl/wave. It needs major taming. And since I live right by the ocean in New Zealand (hello sea breeze & humidity!), my hair definitely needs some help! This is why I love Moroccan Oil Treatment. I rub a small dollop in my wet hair and then blow dry. This stuff lasts forever and is a miracle worker on my hair…I couldn’t live without it!
Dry Shampoo. Need I say more?? Since I have to straighten my hair daily and my hair is super thick, I like to minimize my washes. I wash my hair twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. But! This specific dry shampoo for brunettes is magic! I used to use the regular dry shampoo until I spotted this one for brunettes and it’s a game changer!
Smell
I’ve never been one to wear perfume, until my sister Randi gave me this fragrance and I’m never going back! Jo Malone has so many amazing fresh smelling scents. I love how natural & light they smell and it just adds a nice touch to my day.
Morning Routine
Maskcara Custom Quad Compact
First of all, I love the color turquoise so this compact was made for me! Secondly, this tiny compact is all I need to make over my face in the morning. That’s it. It holds 4 IIID foundation colors: my highlight, contour, blush, and illuminator. It’s magic in a box and every beauty girl needs one to whip your face into shape super quick!
The Detail HAC Brush
My favorite Maskcara brush I use to apply my IIID makeup is The Detail HAC Brush. I have a thinner face so this bad boy is perfect for applying color in just the right places. It’s my fave!
Perfector Sponge
Once I apply all my foundation, I love this sponge to blend the color all in. It’s amazing how it leaves my face looking natural & blended! My beauty routine is not complete with this little puffy joy!
Stay Spray
My skin is really oily. Like really oily. So if I don’t want my face looking like a glossy mess by the end of the day, then this Stay Out There Setting Spray is a must!! I’ve discovered that I like spraying it onto my Perfector Sponge and then dabbing it onto my face to help set my makeup. I don’t know how it works so wonderfully, but it does and I use it daily!
Night Routine

As an esthetician, I have never gone to bed without washing my face in the last 13 years…for real. No matter how tired I am at the end of the day, it is an absolute must to wash my face! I don’t want my makeup and dust and grime of the day to set into my face while I get my beauty rest. These Maskcara Makeup Remover Wipes are perfect for a quick thorough clean! They’re so convenient & easy…there’s no excuse to ever go to bed without washing your face again!
Milk
Even though I have oily skin, skin still needs to moisturize. This Maskcara Milk is so heavenly on my face! It feels like it tightens my skin, hydrates, and works magic while I sleep. I especially love it under my eyes.
