What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic Acid (let’s refer to it as HA or hyaluron from now on…because it’s a big word to spell and say…haha!) is a molecule that occurs naturally in the body and helps retain moisture in the skin. Through aging and environmental factors, your production of HA can decrease and it’s necessary to add it into your skincare routine or take supplements to maintain the benefits.
Did you know that one of the quickest ways to look older is to have dehydrated skin? Skin that isn’t given proper moisture will enhance fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluron is known to bind 1000 times its own weight in moisture. That means that it’s a hydration packed serum that will help give you the moisture you need to age gracefully!
You can apply HA to your skin as a serum or you can drink HA to help your body internally. It really does mean that beauty comes from within! These are the two HA products that I recommend to my clients:
- Corrective Face Serum Vegan Hyaluronic: I love this serum because not only does it contain HA but also another powerful ingredient called hydroxytyrosol. This combo is a dynamite duo that can repairs oxidative damage, moisturize the skin, plump the skin, and give you a healthy glow.
- The Beauty Molecule: The beauty supplement is boosted with hydroxytyrosol, HA, lavender, blackcurrant, turmeric, camu camu, and black elderberry. It helps tighten pores, firm skin, strengthen nails, and gives skin a healthy glow.
