Lois’ Lovely Before and After
Meet my mother-in-law, Lois. We’ve been so blessed to have family in New Zealand with us! We moved to Auckland in March of 2016 and my in-laws moved to Wellington in July of 2016. They are busy serving as missionaries for our church, but we love snatching a few days here and there of their time. Lois was kind enough to let me practice on her while they visited us for the weekend. I’m happy to share Lois’ Lovely Before and After with you!
Lois has beautiful smooth skin so she didn’t need much coverage. I chose to use Sunlit as her highlight and it matched her skin perfectly! I mainly focused under her eyes, cheeks, on her chin, and on her forehead. The highlight helped even out her skin tone and hide some of the redness. She’s not a heavy makeup wearer so I went light on the contour. Olive is a great neutral contour for her skin tone and it accentuated her cheekbones nicely. She already has a nice narrow nose, so we skipped the contour on her nose. Lois isn’t afraid of a pink cheek, so I used Pink Grapefruit on the apples of her cheeks and it was a nice fresh look. Pearl as her illuminator was a nice touch to top her face off.
Onto the eyes. We didn’t want a heavy look so we kept it light and airy. I brushed Basic all over her eyelid and then used Kin in her crease. Then I applied London near her brow bone. It gave her a fresh look without looking too heavy.
You can’t forget the brows! Oak was the perfect color to give her brows some nice definition and shape.
We then applied some mascara to her lashes. The look was topped off with some Pink Grapefruit on her lips. This makeup left her looking brighter and fresh. This was her first time using the makeup and fell in love!
