In a nutshell, waterless beauty is skincare and makeup products that do not contain added water. Instead of water being their main ingredient, these products are made from oils, waxes, and butters. This allows the skincare products to be more potent and effective.
Most skincare products contain 70%-90% water. This means a few things:
- You’re paying a lot for water!
- Your skincare products are literally watered down so they aren’t as effective and you aren’t seeing the results you want.
- In order for the products to be shelf stable, there are a lot of added preservatives and fillers.

What are My Favorite Waterless Beauty Products?
I’ve personally been using Oliveda skincare products since March 2024. I’ve always had a great skincare routine but the products I used never gave me the results I wanted. I turned 40 last year and I was noticing the fun signs of aging: dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots (hyperpigmentation), and dehydrated skin. My skin looked dull!
