What is a lash tint? Tinting your lashes is just as it says…you tint your lashes to be a different color. This is great if you have lighter colored lashes and want to darken them. Tinting can last up to 8 weeks.

Preparing for Your At Home Lash Lift and Tint
It can be overwhelming trying something new! But I like to say that you can learn anything and do anything if you take it one step at a time. When preparing for your first at home lash lift, take everything out of the packaging and read through the instructions BEFORE you start. This will allow you to know what to expect.
Lay everything out in the order that you will be applying it and get all the supplies you need. You may also want to grab your phone, laptop, or book so you can watch or listen to something while you wait in between steps.
Performing the Lash Lift
Performing a lash lift on yourself for the first time can see, daunting. But you’ve got this! Take it slow. Read the instructions really well. Here are the steps for doing your at home last lift:
- Prep your lashes by removing any makeup and cleaning the lashes.
- Apply the pad to your eyelid along your lashes.
- Apply the glue to the pad.
- Brush your lashes onto the glue. Make sure to brush through them really well so they are straight.
- Apply the perm lotion.
- Let it sit for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove the lotion with a cotton swab.
- Apply fix lotion.
- Let it sit for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove with a cotton swab.
- Remove the pad.
- Apply nourishing lotion.
Tinting Your Lashes
I think tinting your lashes is super easy! It was easier than lash lifting! You can tint your lashes as its own process or you can do it in between steps as you are lifting your lashes. The key is to make sure you don’t get the tint on your eyelid or under your eyes. Here are the simple steps for tinting your lashes at home:
- Clean your lashes
- Apply the lash pads to protect your skin
- Mix the tint & oxidant gel
- Apply the tint to your lashes
- Wait for 15-20 minutes while it processes
- Remove the color and the lash pads
That’s it! It’s really simple and easy! And your lashes will be darker and thicker looking.
Aftercare Tips for Long-Lasting Results
Here are a few tips to help your lashes stay looking fabulous after you’ve done the lift and/or tint:
- Brush your lashes daily to keep them looking fluffy.
- Be gentle with your lashes and don’t excessively rub them.

My Personal Lash Lift and Tint Review
I was really impressed with my results from lash lifting and tinting! I thought the process was really easy and I could follow the instructions well. It took me about an hour to do both eyes. I did one at a time so I could focus on the steps. I was shocked with how curled my lashes looked!

A few things I learned to do differently next time so I have better results are:
- Brush through my lashes really well and place them evenly onto the glue.
- Choose a less dramatic curl option. I loved how my lashes looked without mascara, but having them so dramatic made it hard to apply mascara.
- Let the tint process longer so they appear darker.
