I don’t know about you, but I feel so much better and ready to take the day head on when I am dressed and done up! I don’t have to be completely dolled up and dressed to the nines, but I do like to look nice and put together each day. I have done this for years, so I have my routine down to a science. Let me show you my simple everyday makeup look and how you can easily do it too!
Start with a Clean Face
Before you apply your makeup, it’s best to start with a clean face. Once you have a clean face, apply sunscreen to protect your skin. Once you have those crucial steps complete, move on to applying a light layer of makeup to enhance your natural beauty.
Clutter Free Makeup
I think one of the things that takes the most time when getting ready is finding the right products you need! When you have a cluttered makeup bag or drawer full of makeup, it can take a lot of time rummaging through to find the right products. Simplifying your makeup routine to just one compact of custom makeup will significantly cut back on the time you spend on getting ready.
If you want an easy everyday makeup look, start with the right products. Purge your makeup bag full of random products and get a custom palette of exactly what you need!
And as a certified makeup artist, I can help you choose the perfect colors and products that will look great on you!
Easy Everyday Makeup Look
Let me walk you through this easy everyday makeup look that only takes 5 minutes!
First up, I take my favorite brush (the Detail Brush) and start by applying my highlight color to the areas of my face that need evening out. I dab and brush under my eyes, onto my nose, under my nose, on my chin, and on my forehead. This makes my skin have a nice balanced color and evens out my redness and blemishes.
My favorite part is next where I apply the contour color, a nice brown shade, to the parts of my face that need some detail and movement. This adds shape and dimension to the face. I take my brush and dab some color along my cheekbones, along my hairline, and along my jawline. This step in my makeup process enhances my cheekbones and jawline. It gives my face shape and makes my face appear 3-D…like it should!
Next, I take a cream blush color and dab it onto the apples of my cheeks and I blend upward.
I top the face off with the illuminator color by applying it to the tops of my cheekbones and the bow of my lip. This adds a nice natural glow to my face when the light hits it just right. Then I blend all my makeup with the Perfector Sponge to make the colors nice and even and natural looking.
Easy Everyday Eyeshadow Look
I call this easy eyeshadow look that looks like you spent a ton of time on it the Ombre Method. You need 3-4 eyeshadow shades, ranging in light to dark. They can be matte or shimmer. Here’s a step by step:
- Take the Eyeshadow Brush and the darkest shade and apply it on the outer corner of your eye.
- Apply the medium shade on the middle part of your eye from your lashes to your crease.
- Apply the light shade and apply it on the inner part of your eye.
- Then use the fluffy end of the Eyeshadow Brush and blend, blend, blend!
- Top the look off by applying a very light shade under your brow and on the inner part of your eye.
