What is Skin Tint?

Skin tint is a lightweight makeup in serum form that provides sheer to light coverage. It gives a very natural look. This is the perfect solution for the woman that wants to have a more even skin tone without looking like she’s wearing makeup. If you want more coverage, you can layer the makeup, wear a darker shade, or apply more.

As a bonus with skin tint, they also contain skincare ingredients that help nourish the skin. Some of these ingredients include: hyaluronic acid, mineral spf, hydroxytyrosol, essential oils, vitamin e, vitamin a, and bioactive ingredients.

Skin tint is great for women with any skin type. If you have dry skin, your skin will especially love it. I have oily skin and it even works great for me!

Now, you wouldn’t want to wash your face with skin tint or sleep in it, but the ingredients in it will help reduce the visible signs of aging and improve your skin’s texture.

Tinted moisturizer is a hydrating creamy makeup that provides light coverage. It is a mixture of foundation and day cream. It’s great for women that have dry skin and want a lighter makeup look.

Most tinted moisturizers contain sun protection also. They are slightly heavier than a skin tint. Tinted moisturizer is great for women with dry skin!

Top Skin Tint to Use

My personal favorite skin tint that I recommend to my clients is the OIive Rose skin tint. It’s the first ever waterless makeup based on hydroxytyrosol. It’s jam packed with great skincare ingredients that will help give your skin a radiant glow!

I love that it comes in 18 shades so it’s very inclusive of women of all colors! And, you can use multiple shades to add dimension to your face. For instance, I use shade 6 for my all over shade and shade 13 for contour. You can apply it with your fingers or a brush. I prefer applying it with this BRUSH.

Which One is Right for You?

Here are some things to think about to help you determine which makeup is right for you:

Skin Tint is best for you if:

  • You have any skin type (dry, normal, combo, oily)
  • Skincare is important to you
  • You want sheer to light coverage
  • You want a dewey finish
  • You want a healthy glow

Tinted moisturizer is best for you if:

  • You have dry skin
  • You already wear a day cream/moisturizer
  • You need extra hydration
  • You want light coverage
  • You want a dewey finish

These are both great options if you prefer a light coverage no makeup makeup look! I think skin tint is more versatile and fun to play around with and tinted moisturizer is a no fuss makeup. I love that there is something for everyone out there and you can feel and look beautiful any way you choose!
