It can be so frustrating when you’re on a long flight and you just can’t fall asleep! I have flown lots of long flights around the world and I’ve learned a trick or two that can help you make your long flight comfortable. Here are some tips to help you fall asleep on an airplane you can reach your destination rested and refreshed!
When it comes to getting comfortable on a long flight so you can catch some z’s, it’s all about being prepared. Invest in a few items that can help you rest.
Eye mask- Block out the bright lights with an eye mask. An eye mask is a great way to have a nice dark environment for you to rest your lids.
Socks- Take off your shoes and put on a nice warm pair of socks to stay cozy. Make sure they’re nice fluffy socks that you can toss into your bag after you’re done.
Blanket- Airplanes can get cold, so bundle up under a blanket. Either use the blanket the airline offers or bring a small one of your own.
Pillow- Keep your head from bobbing and pack a comfy pillow to rest it on.
Ear plugs- Drown out the noise with earplugs so you can sleep in peace. Either use your earbuds to your device or invest in some cheap ones to block out the noise.
Lavender or melatonin- This will help you relax and sleep soundly. Lavender is a soothing essential oil that relaxes you. Melatonin is a natural sleep aid that can help you rest soundly.
Book- If you’re having a hard time getting sleepy, open up a book and read until your eyelids start to droop. With the right prep, you can take your next flight in comfort and rest.
