Depending on the ages of your kids and the needs you have during the day will depend on the type of job that you’re looking for. I did some research on good jobs for moms and some are boring, some are time consuming, and some require training. So, I rounded up the best stay at home mom jobs (in my opinion) that work well for moms and that are fun too!
All of these allow you to use your creativity and have flexibility in your day. Here are the best stay at home mom jobs (according to JoEllen) 😉:
- Blogging- this allows you to write about anything that interests you! You can blog about style, hair, makeup, skincare, DIY projects, home décor, kids, cooking, health…the sky is the limit! With blogging, you can use affiliate links and run ads that will help you make money. You can also work with brands to create content and promote their products. Blogging is a long game so it will take time before you start seeing consistent money roll in.
- UGC Content- User Generator Content is huge right now! Brands are paying consumers big bucks to create video testimonials using their products. Companies will send you the product, you create content, and they pay you. It’s awesome!
- Virtual Assistant- You can work with anyone as their virtual assistant. Many bloggers, content creators, and working women need extra help! You can do a lot of their marketing or social media as their virtual assistant.
- Graphic Designer- Creating graphics online has never been easier! Canva.com is a great place to create content that you can sell on Etsy as downloads. There are so many options with this!
- Social Media Specialist- So many content creators are in over their heads and need help! You can either be their assistant and help with their social media or you can create your own business as the social media expert teaching what you know.
- Network Marketing- Partner with a company to help sell products that you love! There are so many network marketing companies to choose from: health, beauty, style, exercise… You can earn 20-40% commission on product that you sell! Sell by having classes in person or share online.
What is a Seint Artist?
Let me tell you what I do as a stay at home mom. I partner with a network marketing company called Seint that is in the beauty industry. I’ve been working with them for over 6 years and I love it! I am a Seint Artist.
A Seint Artist is a representative of Seint Beauty. I help women look and feel beautiful by helping them choose the right makeup products and colors that will look great on them. I teach makeup tips online and in person to educate and empower women to have the confidence to do makeup on their own. It’s a pretty cool job!
What is Seint makeup? It’s a one compact makeup system! Everything a woman needs (minus mascara) fits into one makeup palette. Foundation, concealer, color corrector, contour, bronzer, blush, illuminator, powder, lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, brows…it all fits into one compact! It’s the perfect makeup for moms!

Why I Became a Seint Artist
I was living in New Zealand at the time the Seint Artist opportunity was presented to me. I was a young mom in her early 30s and my last child started kindergarten. All 4 of my kids were gone for most of the day! I was in a country where I was still getting used to the culture, the people, and the climate. I was a fish out of water and I was looking for a creative outlet to keep me busy.
My sister-in-law knew I already used and loved Seint makeup. I had been one of their very first customers and I was sold from the beginning! So when she asked me if I wanted to start a makeup business with her, I figured I had nothing to lose! I needed the creative outlet. I wanted to get myself outside my comfort zone. I wanted to learn!
It first started out as a challenge to see if we could build a network marketing business completely online. I was in in New Zealand and she was in California. We wanted to only use blogging, social media, YouTube, Pinterest, and email marketing to sell. And it worked!
Over 6 years later and it has become more than just a challenge. It’s been my creative outlet. It’s allowed me to build friendships. I’ve become a beauty teacher for women of all ages! I started doing things completely online, and I still do, but I now also work in person with women. I do makeovers and teach makeup classes. It’s helped me build connections. It’s helped build my confidence. It’s opened doors to other opportunities. I love it!
I’m so glad I said yes over 6 years ago. I love this stay at home mom job so much that I can’t imagine not doing it!
