Basic Nightly Skin Care Routine
Did you know that your skin renews itself faster while you sleep? So if you go to bed with a dirty face, then your skin can’t work it’s magic! When it comes to skin care, there are a lot of products and techniques out there! But if you want to keep things simple, then stick to these steps:
- Remove your makeup
That’s it! When you keep things simple, you’re more likely to do it! Following those simple steps will help you have healthy and happy skin.

After a full day of makeup-wearing, the first thing you want to do in your nightly skin care routine is remove your makeup! You want a fresh face to clean. So you simply take a makeup remover wipe or a microfiber cloth and gently remove the makeup, oil, dirt, and sweat from the day.
Your next step is to cleanse your face. Lightly wet your face and apply cleanser to your skin. Rub in circular motions making sure to clean the nooks and crannies of your face. Be gentle but thorough.
Then take a microfiber cloth and wet it with warm water. Ring it out and use it to remove the cleanser from your face. Take the cloth and press it to your face and drag it away from your face. Make sure to pick up all the cleanser and clean your entire surface.
This step is often neglected in the skin care routine, but it shouldn’t be! Toning helps restore your skin’s natural pH level, reduces redness, refreshes, and acts as a second cleansing process.
Simply take a cotton pad and spray it a few times with your toner. Then gently rub your face with the cotton pad, making sure to get your whole face. The cotton pad will pick up any product and oil that you missed from the previous steps. Now your skin is extra clean!
This step is so refreshing! Take a moisturizer and apply it to your face. Dab some of the product all over your face and rub it in thoroughly. Make sure to be gentle under your eyes because this skin is very sensitive.
And that’s it! By doing this nightly skin care routine, your skin will be happy and healthy! Your skin works hard to renew itself at night while you sleep so by doing these simple steps, you are allowing it to be more productive! Skin care doesn’t have to be overwhelming, it just has to be basic and you’re good to go!
