Is F59 Corrective Face Serum Worth The Hype? What You Need to Know about Dupes!

You may have heard the buzz about this “Botox in a Bottle” serum and have wondered if the claims are true! Is F50 Corrective Face Serum worth the hype?? Let’s unpack it so you can determine for yourself if it’s worth investing in…

What is F59 Corrective Face Serum?

F59 Corrective Face Serum, one of the many skincare products given a nickname of “Botox in a Bottle”, is a popular serum used in skincare. This serum is part of the Olive Tree People Oliveda skincare line.

Olive Tree People is the fastest growing waterless beauty company in the world. What is waterless beauty? In a nutshell, it’s skincare and makeup products that don’t contain any added water. Most skincare products contain 70%-90% water. Olive Tree People skincare products contain 70% olive leaf cell extract. Any water on the ingredient list is naturally derived from crushing the olive leaves. Waterless skincare allows the product to be more potent and effective instead of the product literally being watered down.

What are the Ingredients?

According to the Olive Tree People website, these are the ingredients in the popular serum:

“olea europaea (olive) leaf cell extract, aqua (water), pentylene glycol, glycerin, hydrolyzed soy protein, acacia senegal gum, propanediol, polyglyceryl-4 caprate, sodium hyaluronate, acmella oleracea extract, hydroxytyrosol, bisabolol, xanthan gum, aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder, sodium benzoate, benzyl alcohol, aroma, potassium sorbate, linalool.”

Two important ingredients in this serum that make it so effective are olive leaf cell extract (hydroxytyrosol) and acmella oleracea extract (paracress).

Hydroxytyrosol is the powerful ingredient in Oliveda skincare. It is derived from olive tree leaves and is one of the most powerful antioxidant compounds. It can help reduce inflammation, blemishes, redness, dark circles, fine lines & wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.

Paracress contains spilanthol which is a natural muscle relaxant that can temporarily reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the skin. It can also help with inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and free radical damage.

How Do You Use It?

F59 is a face serum and since it is waterless, it’s very potent! A little goes a long way. Just 4 drops is sufficient for results. You can apply 4 drops directly onto your face or you can put it in the palm of your hand and then apply it to your face. Do what works best for you!

How to Get Better Results

I think the face serum is great on its own, but I think it is amazing when combined with a natural retinol! It’s like they come together and create magic!

Here are some benefits of retinol if you use it properly and consistently:

  • Retinol reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Retinol exfoliates the skin.
  • Retinol helps promote cell turnover.
  • Retinol reduces hyperpigmentation.
  • Retinol helps unclog pores.
  • Retinol increases collagen production.

So, when combined with the F59 Corrective Face Serum, you will see better results in your skin and with consistent use, your skin will transform to a healthier version!

Using natural forms of retinol can be gentler on the skin and is a great option if using a full strength retinol makes you nervous. Because they are naturally derived, the higher concentration of retinol is effective yet gentle on the skin. Here are some great options to try:

  • F87 CORRECTIVE KAHAI ELIXIR is great for all skin types and is known for giving the skin luminosity, finer pores, hydration, elasticity, firmness, and anti-pigmentation. Contains 3.8% Kahai Oil and contains the highest amount of retinol out of these products. (This is my personal favorite retinol!)
  • F82 GREEN RETINOL FACE ELIXIR combines Hydroxytyrosol with Green Retinol (Bakuchiol = alternative retinol) and Vitamin A rich Kahai Oil. The Bakuchiol remedies fine lines and reduces the appearance of pores, while the Hydroytyrosol, together with the Kahai Oil, minimizes redness, counteracts pigmentation and protects against oxidative damage. Bakuchiol also stimulates collagen formation, actively counteracting skin aging. It contains 2.5% Bakuchiol + 1% Kahai Oil and is the gentlest form of retinol out of these options. (This option is best for sensitive skin.)
  • F65 CORRECTIVE MIDNIGHT ELIXIR is combines retinol (fish sourced), arbequina and kahai oil with the patented “hyaluron in oil complex” and the regenerating super olive tree antioxidant hydroxytyrosol. This regenerates and tightens the skin overnight, reduces wrinkles and enhances the luminosity of the skin while you sleep. Apply this retinol at night only because it is photosensitive. This contains 2% retinol from fish liver + hyaluron + 2.5% Kahai Oil.
  • 004 DOPE YOUR WRINKLES FACE OIL SERUM combines hemp and retinol, arbequina and kahai oil with the patented “Hyaluronic in Oil Complex”. It regenerates and firms the skin, reduces wrinkles and supports the daily glow of the skin. The unique complex of active ingredients regenerates the skin overnight, firms and smooths wrinkles and fine lines, and gives the skin a natural glow for the next day while you sleep. This contains 2% retinol from fish liver + hyaluron + 2.5% Kahai Oil but also contains hemp.

*My personal favorite retinol to pair with the F59 Corrective Face Serum is the Kahai Elixir. It’s a chef’s kiss!

My Personal Thoughts

I’m an aesthetician, not a dermatologist. So I don’t have experience nor expertise with any form of needle anti-aging processes. From the research that I have done, I can assure you that any serum that you invest in will not give you the same results as a surgical procedure. However, I do believe that there are skincare products that can help soften and reduce the signs of fine lines and wrinkles. There are serums that can help you age gracefully. And I think that’s what the F59 Corrective Face Serum can do for you.

I have personally been using the F59 Corrective Face Serum for almost a year. I have definitely noticed that my skin not only has less wrinkles but that it appears healthier and glowier. Does it have to do with the serum? I believe so. And I also believe it has to do with consistent use of exfoliating, serums, vitamin c, retinol, and masks that I incorporate into my daily skincare routine.

Needle-less Serum or “Botox in a Bottle” Dupes

If you Google dupes for this viral serum, there are a handful of options that pop up. Let’s break these options down to see if they’re worth the investment and if they’re as good as they say:

  • DRMTLGY Needle-less Serum- This is probably the best option out of the 4 dupes. It uses “Cerapep® Technology: a revolutionary blend of restorative peptides & ceramides.” It contains ingredients like Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract. It gets a 4.4 rating on Amazon. It retails for $49 for 1 fl oz.
  • The Ordinary GF 15% Solution- Their website says this about their product: “An age-support serum containing a 15% solution of growth factors to help minimize and repair visible skin damage to regenerate the look of aging skin.” Water is the main ingredient of this serum, meaning that there is less of the active ingredient in it to be effective. Users like it, but would they like waterless beauty results better?? It gets a 4.6 rating on their website and is $16 for 1 fl oz.
  • DIME TBT Serum- This serum contains bakuchiol which is a natural retinol. So I wouldn’t say that this is a dupes because it’s more of a retinol than just a serum. It gets a 4.3 rating on Amazon and is $34 for 1 fl oz.
  • OLAVITA Liquid Solution- First of all, it really irks me when a company blatantly copies another company. OLAVITA, Oliveda. Why can’t you be more original?? When you go to their website, there is no page about their company story, when it was established, why it was started, or any personality to the brand at all. That, to me, is a red flag. Red flag number 2 is that it doesn’t list all the ingredients. It gets a 3.6 rating on Amazon and is $19 for 2 1 fl oz.

Are any of the dupes worth it and do they actually work? You never know until you try! But, Oliveda has a 365 day return policy, so I think it speaks volumes for the quality of the product. I love when a company stands 100% behind their products and fully believes in their results.

Is F59 Right for You?

If you have fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots, or other natural forms of aging, then F59 Corrective Face Serum may be a good product for you! But don’t expect to use it and see a miracle! You must have a good skincare routine and be consistent with taking good care of your skin to see results. If you have sensitive skin, then a better option for you is the LA Dope 002 Finer Pore Face Elixir.

If wrinkles aren’t a concern for you, then check out some of my other favorite serums I recommend to my clients.
